Laura Jane Grace Ex-Wife: Meet Heather Hannoura

Heather Hannoura is a graphic artist and the ex wife of Laura Jane Grace an American musician and songwriter.

The former couple met whilst Laura Jane Grace was traveling as an opening act for Alkaline Trio in March 2006.

They spent the summer on the Warped Tour together, started living together, and got tattoos of each other’s names.

After a year of dating, they married in December 2007. Grace and Hannoura share a daughter, who was born in 2009.

Grace’s gender dysphoria “started coming back really strong” around the time Hannoura became pregnant that February, but she did nothing about it.

When  their daughter Evelyn was about a year old, the family relocated to St. Augustine, Florida. In 2013, the couple separated and then divorced.

Laura Jane Grace is best known as the founder, lead vocalist, and guitarist of the punk rock band Against Me!.

Their albums, including “Reinventing Axl Rose,” “New Wave,” and “Transgender Dysphoria Blues,” received critical acclaim and cultivated a dedicated fanbase.

The latter album, released in 2014, explored themes of gender dysphoria and identity, reflecting Laura Jane Grace’s personal experiences and transition.
