Born on September 30, 1999, in the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Saraiva’s gymnastics journey began at Flamengo, one of Brazil’s most prestigious clubs for artistic gymnastics.
Flávia Saraiva’s international debut was nothing short of impressive. She participated in the Houston National Invitational, where she finished 10th in the all-around competition.

In her senior international debut at the FIG World Challenge Cup in São Paulo, Saraiva showcased her talent by winning the floor exercise and securing a silver medal on the balance beam.

Flávia Saraiva’s journey reached new heights when she represented Brazil at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, and the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Her dedication and hard work paid off as she qualified for the balance beam event final at the 2020 Olympics, where she finished in an impressive 7th place.
Saraiva was part of the teams that clinched gold at the 2018 South American Games and bronze at the 2015 and 2019 Pan American Games.
Individually, she earned the title of the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic floor exercise champion and securing multiple medals at the Pan American Games, South American Games, and Pan American Championships.
In 2022, Saravia was named to the team for the 2022 Pan American Championships, where she joined forces with gymnastics sensation Rebeca Andrade, Christal Bezerra, Lorrane Oliveira, Carolyne Pedro, and Júlia Soares. Together, they secured gold in the team final, showcasing Brazil’s gymnastics prowess on the international stage.
Saraiva’s excellence shone brightly once again as she clinched gold in the all-around final at the 2022 Pan American Championships, reaffirming her status as a gymnastics superstar.
