American landscape architect Harriet Pattison was born on October 29, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois. On October 3, 2023, Pattison, who was 94 years old, passed away.

The Francis Parker School in Chicago is where the American landscape architect earned her formal education. Pattison continued on to the University of Chicago, where he earned a B.A. in 1951.

Following her performing studies at the Yale School of Drama, she pursued graduate-level philosophy coursework at the University of Edinburgh. Then Pattison relocated to Philadelphia, where she enrolled in Edith Braun’s piano class at the Curtis Institute of Music. Before working with George Patton Landscape Architecture, she was said to have received her degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
