Ballroom dancer, coach, instructor, and judge Karen Hardy was born in Britain on July 14, 1970. She and Bryan Watson won the professional International Latin American Dance Championship in 1998. She also took home victories in the European, World Masters, British National, and UK Open tournaments. At Imperial Wharf in London, she now manages a dance studio.

She was a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing from 2005 to 2009 and a frequent contributor to Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two. She has additionally stepped in for a few judges on The Strictly Live Tour. Hardy took part in the Channel 4 television show Faking It (Series 4). Together with Paul Harris, they helped a young female kickboxer transition into a Latin dancer.
