Lloyd played high school football at DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland.

After completing his high school career, he played for the Gamecocks at the University of South Carolina from 2020 to 2022.
He had appeared in the 2020 Under Armour All-American Game, and was named a five-star recruit.
In 2021, Lloyd appeared in 12 games and rushed 64 times for 228 yards and one touchdown, and started all games during the 2022 season.
In 2023, Lloyd was transferred to the University of Southern California (USC), where he now plays as a running back.
