Robert Fico is a well-known world leader who was born in Topolcany, Slovakia, on September 15, 1964. Robert is also well-known for serving as the Communist Prime Minister of Slovakia from 2012 to 2014. He led the Direction-Social Democracy party. 2013 saw the announcement of his presidential bid.

SMER won the 2006 elections with 29.1% of the vote.
