Lachie Neale is an Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League (AFL).

He is the son of Robbie Neale and Amanda Taylor. His family briefly lived on a farm in Langkoop, near Apsley, a small town in western Victoria just east of the South Australian border,
However, they re;ocated to Kybybolite, South Australia, when Lachie was still a child.
Lachie began playing football with Kybybolite as a 10-year-old in 2004. He was awarded a scholarship to St Peter’s College in Adelaide.

He was selected by Fremantle as the club’s fourth pick (number 58 overall) in the 2011 AFL draft.

After playing for Fremantle for over 7 years, he joined the Brisbane Lions in a trade deal ahead of the 2019 season.
In 2019, Neale excelled at his new club, being named to the All-Australian squad for the first time, winning his first Merrett-Murray Medal, and finishing equal-third in the Brownlow Medal with 26 votes.
Neale received 31 votes during the truncated regular season, including best-on-ground in eleven matches, to win the 2020 Brownlow Medal.
Neale was selected Lions co-captain alongside Harris Andrews on March 1, 2023. Later that year, Lachie Neale won his second Brownlow Medal, this time with 31 votes.
