Chris Hollins Parents: Meet John Hollins and Linda Hollins

Christopher Jonathan Hollins, an English journalist, TV personality, and presenter, was born on March 20, 1971. He played first-class cricket in the past, but he is most known for winning Strictly Come Dancing in 2009 and serving as the BBC Breakfast sports correspondent from 2008 to 2012.

From 2010 until 2015, Hollins served as the host of the BBC’s Watchdog program on consumer rights. He played football after graduating from Tonbridge School in 1989 for Charlton, Queens Park Rangers, and Aldershot Town. Later, he attended Durham University before moving on to Oxford University, where he earned a blue while playing first-class cricket for the school.

Hollins began his media career with the then-Associated Newspapers-owned Channel One TV in London. In 1994, he moved on to Sky Sports after which he worked for a while at GMTV, Meridian, and Five TV.

In the south London borough of Bromley, Hollins was born into a footballing family. John Hollins, a former football player for Queens Park Rangers, Chelsea, Arsenal, and England, was his father. David, his uncle, was a goalkeeper who won eleven caps for Wales and also played for Newcastle United.

Hollins attended the Tonbridge School, Durham University, Hild Bede College, and Keble College in Oxford in addition to Bickley Park School in Bromley.
