Spanish professional basketball player Marta Xargay Casademont was born on December 20, 1990. She played for the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury as well as teams in Spain, Russia, and the Czech Republic. She participated in basketball for Spain’s women’s national team from 2011 to 2020.

With Perfumeras Avenida Baloncesto, she won the EuroLeague Women 2010–2011. She left Spain in 2015 and signed with the Phoenix Mercury of the WNBA on February 11, 2015. She also joined USK Praha of the Czech League in 2015.
