A former collegiate basketball coach and American television sportscaster, Carolyn Arlene Peck was born on January 22, 1966. She served as the head coach of the women’s basketball programs at Purdue University and the University of Florida, as well as the Orlando Miracle of the WNBA, where she also served as the team’s first head coach-general manager. Additionally, Peck served as the co-head coach at her alma mater, Vanderbilt University.

In 1993, Peck started his profession as a coach. She went back to her own state to work as Pat Summitt’s assistant coach with the Tennessee Lady Vols for two seasons. Both of the Lady Vols’ 30-win seasons—31-2 in 1993–94 and 34–3 in 1994–95—saw them win the Southeastern Conference title.
