Italian-born professional football player Federico Bernardeschi was born on February 16, 1994. He now plays as a winger or attacking midfielder for Toronto FC of Major League Soccer. In honor of the renowned Florentine architect, Brunelleschi, he goes by the moniker “Brunelleschi” due to his skill and grace on the field.

Atletico Carrara and Polisportiva Ponzano were the clubs where Bernardeschi started his playing career. He entered the Fiorentina junior system in 2003 and stayed there for ten years before spending the 2013–14 season on loan with Crotone. The following year, he made his way back to Fiorentina.

He was traded to Juventus in July 2017, where he went on to win a number of accolades, including three straight Serie A championships. Bernardeschi joined for Toronto FC as a free agent in July 2022 after his deal with Juventus expired.
