Vance Joseph is an American football coach who is the defensive coordinator of the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL).

Before his current role as defensive coordinator, he was the head coach of Denver Broncos. However, he got fired by the team.
Vance Joseph was named head coach of the Denver Broncos after signing a four-year contract on January 11, 2017.
He is the Broncos’ second African-American head coach, following Eric Studesville as temporary head coach for four games in 2010, and their first permanent African-American head coach.

On Monday Night Football on September 11, 2017, Joseph won his head coaching debut with a 24-21 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Joseph concluded his first season as head coach (2017) with a 5-11 record and improved to 6-10 in his second season (2018), giving the Broncos back-to-back losing seasons for the first time since the 1971/1972 seasons. The team fired Joseph on December 31, 2018.
On February 25, 2023, the Broncos re-hired Joseph as their defensive coordinator under head coach Sean Payton.
The Broncos surrendered 70 points to the Miami Dolphins on September 24, 2023. Many people believe he will be fired in the coming days.
