Jonathan Huberdeau signed a 8 year / $84,000,000 contract with the Calgary Flames, including a $61,500,000 signing bonus, $84,000,000 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $10,500,000.

Huberdeau was dealt to the Calgary Flames on July 22, 2022, along with MacKenzie Weegar, Cole Schwindt, and a 2025 conditional first-round draftt selection for Matthew Tkachuk and a conditional fourth-round draft pick.

Huberdeau’s first Hockey Canada experience came in 2010 when he represented Team Quebec in the World U-17 Hockey Challenge. In five games, he scored two goals and added one assist. He helped Canada win the gold medal at the 2010 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament, recording three assists.

Huberdeau’s international success continued in 2012, as he represented Canada at the World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.
