Jonathan Huberdeau is a professional ice hockey winger for the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League (NHL).

He is the  son of Alain Huberdeau and Josee Blondin-Huberdeau. Additional information about his parents are unavailable.

Jonathan Huberdeau was born in Saint-Jérôme, Quebec, and reared there. Huberdeau’s native tongue is French, although he attended an anglophone high school to better prepare for the NHL.

His parents immigrated to Canada from France two years before his birth. Jonathan attended more Florida Panthers games than Montreal Canadiens games as a kid since his family brought their RV to Florida every winter.

Jonathan Huberdeau was selected by the Florida Panthers in the first round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft with the 3rd overall pick.

Huberdeau was dealt to the Calgary Flames on July 22, 2022, along with MacKenzie Weegar, Cole Schwindt, and a 2025 conditional first-round draft selection for Matthew Tkachuk and a conditional fourth-round draft pick.

Huberdeau’s first Hockey Canada experience came in 2010 when he represented Team Quebec in the World U-17 Hockey Challenge. In five games, he scored two goals and added one assist. He helped Canada win the gold medal at the 2010 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament, recording three assists.
