Huberdeau was dealt to the Calgary Flames on July 22, 2022, along with MacKenzie Weegar, Cole Schwindt, and a 2025 conditional first-round draft selection for Matthew Tkachuk and a conditional fourth-round draftt pick.
Huberdeau’s first Hockey Canada experience came in 2010 when he represented Team Quebec in the World U-17 Hockey Challenge. In five games, he scored two goals and added one assist. He helped Canada win the gold medal at the 2010 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament, recording three assists.
