Chevan Cordeiro, an American football quarterback for the San Jose State Spartans, was born on October 1, 1999. At the University of Hawaii, he had previously played. In 2018, Cordeiro replaced the injured Cole McDonald and made his first career start against Wyoming.

Hawaii won 17-13 and reclaimed the Paniolo Trophy thanks to his 19 of 29 passing for 148 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception that was returned for a score. Additionally, he participated in contests with Nevada, UNLV, and Louisiana Tech.

Cordeiro led Hawaii to a 35-28 victory in his game against UNLV by completing four passes for three touchdowns. When the team was trailing 28-13 in the fourth quarter, Cordeiro came off the bench to take the place of an ailing McDonald and completed 4 of 5 passes for 153 yards and three touchdowns.
