Jerry Fontenot, an American football coach and former center who competed in the National Football League (NFL) for the Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints, and Cincinnati Bengals, was born on November 21, 1966. The Bears selected him during the third round of the 1989 NFL Draft. He was a student at Texas A&M.

From 2006 through 2015, Fontenot worked for the Green Bay Packers as an assistant offensive line coach and tight ends coach. Fontenot was let go on January 19, 2016. He was hired as the Los Angeles Wildcats’ offensive line coach in 2019 for the XFL. On the Texas A&M football team, Fontenot participated in college football. Fontenot was selected with pick number 65 in round three of the 1989 NFL Draft.
