A professional ice hockey center who is Native American, Henry Charles Boucha. Between 1971 to 1977, Boucha participated in both the World Hockey Association (WHA) and the National Hockey League (NHL).

He played for the Minnesota Fighting Saints of the WHA as well as the Detroit Red Wings, Minnesota North Stars, Kansas City Scouts, and Colorado Rockies in the NHL.

Because of an eye injury caused by Dave Forbes, his career was ended. Internationally, Boucha participated in two World Championships and the 1972 Winter Olympics for the American national team, where he won a silver medal.

In 1969, Boucha was hurt while playing high school hockey for Warroad High School in Warroad, Minnesota, helping his team advance to the state tournament. Edina defeated Warroad 5-4 in overtime, and Boucha was injured.

Henry Boucha was in the Twin Cities when he passed away on Monday at the age of 72. He was a high school hockey hero ever since he led Warroad to the state championship game of Minnesota in 1969.
Boucha, who just relocated to Warroad, a hockey-crazed little town located 7 miles south of the Canadian border, was in the Twin Cities when he passed out while there to see a doctor at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center, according to his daughter Tara.
