Samiuela Lousi, a lock for the United Rugby Championship team Scarlets, was born on July 20, 1991. He plays both codes of rugby professionally. He was born in New Zealand and is the international representative for Tonga after meeting the requirements based on ancestry. In 2010 and 2011, Lousi played rugby league for the Junior Kiwis.

Lousi, who had a contract with the Warriors till the 2013 campaign’s conclusion, was the group’s tallest and heaviest player. Prior to making his National Rugby League debut in round 20 as a last-minute replacement for Steve Rapira, who sustained an injury during pre-match warm-ups, he spent the 2012 season competing for the Auckland Vulcans in the NSW Cup.
