Professional dual-code rugby player Samiuela Lousi represents the United Rugby Championship team Scarlets as a lock. The tallest and heaviest player on the team, Lousi has a contract with the Warriors through the 2013 campaign.

He played for the Auckland Vulcans in the NSW Cup for the entire 2012 campaign before making his National Rugby League debut in round 20 as a last-minute replacement for Steve Rapira, who sustained an injury during pre-game warm-ups.

Lousi had participated in a game earlier that day for the Vulcans. For the 2015 season, Lousi signed with the NSW Waratahs; however, after earning four caps, he suffered a shoulder injury that caused his Super Rugby season to end early.
