Evelyn Lozada is an American television personality and the ex-wife of Chad Johnson a former American professional football player.

The former couple began dating in early 2010, and got engaged in November of that year. They tied the knot in July of 2012.
After their marriage, Johnson was arrested on August 11, 2012, for domestic assault against his then wife Evelyn Lozada.
On August 14, 2012, Lozada filed for divorce, saying that her marriage was “irretrievably broken.” The divorce was finalised on September 19, 2012.
On September 21, 2012, Johnson filed a no guilty plea to a charge of misdemeanour domestic assault, avoiding jail time in a deal between prosecutors and Lozada.

Evelyn Lozada is most recognised for her role as one of the six main cast members in the VH1 reality series Basketball Wives, which premiered in 2010.
Lozada grew up in The Bronx after being born in Brooklyn. Lozada is of Puerto Rican origin.
In 2007, she relocated to Miami. She began her career as a secretary for an entertainment attorney before becoming co-owner of Dulce, a shoe boutique in Coral Gables, Florida. Lozada grew up as a Roman Catholic.
