In the Rugby World Cup 2023, Australia will be represented by rugby union player Matt Philip. On March 7, 1994, he was born. He participates in Super Rugby with the Melbourne Rebels. He is playing the position of Lock.

He has previously represented the Western Force and the Perth Spirit in Australia’s National Rugby Championship. Philip participated in sports with the Sydney Stars in 2014 and 2015 before switching to Southland in 2016 for the Mitre 10 Cup.

When Philip first started playing rugby, he competed for Sydney University in the Shute Shield. Due to his success, the Sydney Stars team was called up to compete in the 2014 National Rugby Championship. He played for the Stars in 15 games over the course of two seasons, making two tries in the process.
