Maason Smith, a defensive tackle for the LSU Tigers in American football, was born on October 13, 2002. Smith went at Houma, Louisiana’s Terrebonne High School.

With more than 40 tackles and nine sacks during his senior year, Smith was one of the best prospects in the 2021 class. Smith would then be chosen to play in the All-American Bowl.
The top recruit in Louisiana, Smith rejected offers from Miami, Georgia, and Alabama in favor of staying home and playing collegiate football at Louisiana State University. Smith was the first player in school history at LSU to wear the number 0 on his jersey. Smith accumulated 19 tackles, four sacks, and five tackles for loss in his rookie season.
