Steve Doocy is an American television host, political commentator, and author. He is the son of JoAnne Doocy and James Edward Doocy.

His father Jmaes Edward worked in sales and construction.His paternal grandpa was Irish, while his maternal grandmother was Swedish.
Doocy attended Wakefield Junior High and Clay Centre High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science in journalism from the University of Kansas in Lawrence.

Steve Doocy first major market assignment was with WRC in Washington, D.C., as a features reporter.
He joined Fox News Channel in 1996 and in 1998 he began co-hosting the network’s morning show Fox & Friends.
Steve Doocy helped develop Fox News Channel’s New Year’s Eve programme, All American New Year, in 2004, with hosts such as Bill Hemmer and Megyn Kelly.
Doocy has received Associated Press, Society of Professional Journalists (previously Sigma Delta Chi), and National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences TV reporting and writing awards, as well as 11 Emmy Awards.
