Michael McGrath: Tony-Winning Broadway Actor Dies at 65

American actor Michael McGrath who starred as Patsy in the Broadway Musical “Spamalot”, died on September 14, 2023, at the age of 65.

McGrath passed away in his home in Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA.

For playing the character of Patsy in Spamalot, McGrath had won a Tony Award.

Michael McGrath was well known on the Broadway stage, and appeared in many Broadway productions including a workshop of the musical “The Honeymooners.”

Other Broadway plays he appeared include “Is He Dead?, Memphis, Finding Neverland, and Nice Work If You Can Get It “, which won him the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical.

McGrath was a voice actor who played voice roles in a few animations such  as The Secret of Kells and Wolfwalkers.

McGrath additionally starred in TV productions like My Favorite Year, Swinging on a Star, Changing Lanes, The Interpreter and Little Me.

He additionally served as announcer on The Martin Short Talk Show between 1999 and 2000.
