Pat Nebo, a talented production designer and art director, has passed away. Though nothing is known about the veteran’s passing, Shaibu Husseini, an entertainment writer and lecturer, confirmed the news in a conversation with a reporter for The Nation on Thursday, September 14.

Nebo has been in the Nigerian film industry for about 30 years and is a mystery whose value in terms of production and set design expertise and knowledge cannot be understated.

He was unquestionably one of the few production designers and set directors in Nigeria who made sure that every detail was considered when creating a realistic set. The production designer for the 1993 play “Ti Oluwa Nile” served as the art director’s first job.
