A offensive tackle for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL), Mekhi Becton was born on April 18, 1999. The Jets took him in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft while he was a college football player at Louisville.

In the 2017 campaign, Becton was a freshman player. Acquiring the position of tackle for the Cardinals during his rookie season, Becton participated in 13 games and started 11. With only 6 pressures allowed in 312 snaps through the first four games of the season, Becton was the greatest pass-blocker in the ACC and the highest rated rookie in the nation by Pro Football Focus. With the 11th overall choice in the first round, the New York Jets selected Becton.
