Jordan Whitehead is an American football player who has played the safety position for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL) since 2022.
Whitehead was born on March 18, 1997, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, U.S, and played football at Central Valley High School in Monaca, Pennsylvania.
As a high school freshman, he caught 24 passes for 471 yards along with rushing for 1,933 yards on 148 attempts.

Whitehead moved further to college, where he played for the Pittsburgh Panthers, appearing in all 13 games, starting 12 in his first year.
During his college days, Whitehead was a Super Bowl champion (LV), had won the ACC Rookie of the Year, and ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2015, and was named to the second-team All-ACC in 2016.
In 2018, he declared for the NFL Draft, and was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Whitehead remained with the team for three seasons and later joined the Jets.
