His was raised by his step-father Jeff Smith, who played four seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Hall has several family members who are involved in professional football. Other than his stepfather, Jeff Smith. Kenton Keith, Hall’s cousin, had a brief run in 2004 with the Jets as well as a season with the Colts in 2007.
He also played six seasons in the Canadian Football League. Hall’s most famous family member is his third cousin, running back and three-time Super Bowl champion Roger Craig, who played for the San Francisco 49ers in the 1980s.

Hall was raised in Wichita, Kansas, and graduated from Wichita Northwest. The New York Jets selected Hall in the second round with the 36th overall choice in the 2022 NFL draft. making him the first running back chosen that year.
Hall made his NFL debut against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 of the 2022 season. In Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns, he scored his first career touchdown on a ten-yard reception from quarterback Joe Flacco.
