Brad Boxberger is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball (MLB). He is the son of Rodney Boxberger and Marjorie Boxberger

He is quite close to his parents, and they have always supported him throughout his life. They frequently attend the fields to cheer him on during his bouts.

Brad’s father is a former Major League Baseball player. Rod won the 1978 College World Series Most Outstanding Player award while a junior at the University of Southern California (USC).

His father Rod Boxberger was selected in the first round by two separate big league teams. The New York Mets selected him in the second round in the 1975 amateur draft. The Houston Astros selected him in the first round, 11th overall, in 1978. He played professionally for six years but never made it to the major leagues.

Overall, Boxberger has a 30-55 record with a 4.67 ERA in 134 minor league games. In 702 innings, he struck out 389 and walked 504 opponents
