In order to play collegiate basketball for the esteemed Stanford University, he made the decision to relocate to the United States of America in 2016. In order to prepare for the 2021 NBA draft, da Silva announced in March 2021 that he has agreed to play for MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg in the German Bundesliga for the remaining 2021 season.

Da Silva joined the Oklahoma City Thunder for the 2021 NBA Summer League after being passed over for the draft. In September, he signed with Alba Berlin, where he went on to become one of the breakthrough stars in the 2021/22 EuroLeague and an important player in the German Bundesliga.
