Anton has so far won numerous titles and awards, including Super Rugby titles with the Chiefs and contributing to the All Blacks’ success in international competitions.
Anton had been barred for three weeks in June 2023, following a dangerous tackle he made on Dallas McLeod during the Super Rugby Pacific final.
Anton had to accept the three-week suspension because it is against the rule for a player to “tackle an opponent early, late or dangerously.”
