Why did Aaron Smith leave the Highlanders?
After this year’s Rugby World Cup, the halfback will depart New Zealand after signing with Toyota Verblitz of Japan’s Rugby League One. Alongside longtime international teammate Beauden Barrett, who has also signed with the squad, Smith will begin a new journey with the Japanese club.
