Vijay Sethupathi parents: Meet Kalimuthu and Saraswathi

Vijaya Sethupathi was born to his father, Kalimuthu Sethupathi, and his mother, Saraswathi Sethupathi.

His father is a civil engineer. Vijaya has two brothers, Anna and Thambi, and a sister, Thangachi.

Vijaya Sethupathi is an actor cum producer famous for appearing in many Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada language films.

Vijaya was born on January 16, 1978, in Tamil Nadu, India, and first appeared in the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in 2015.

Afterwards, Vijaya took on supporting roles. In 2010, he was cast in Seenu Ramasamy’s Thenmerku Paruvakaatru, which became his first lead role.

Vijaya has since starred in many Indian movies such as Sundarapandian, Pizza, Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom, Soodhu Kavvum, Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, Pannaiyarum Padminiyum, and Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum.

Other film credits of his include Iraivi, Vikram Vedha, ’96, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, Petta, Super Deluxe, and Vikram.

In 2021, Vijaya began hosting MasterChef India – Tamil.

For his contribution to film, Vijaya has been honoured with several accolades including “a National Film Award, two Filmfare Awards South and two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.”
