Andre Johnson, an American retired professional football player, was born on July 11, 1981. He played wide receiver for 14 seasons in the National Football League (NFL), mostly with the Houston Texans.

In the 2003 NFL Draft, the Texans selected him third overall after he played college football for the Miami Hurricanes. He ranks 11th all-time in both NFL receiving yards and career receptions. Nearly all of the Texans’ receiving records belong to Johnson.

He was a member of the Tennessee Titans and the Indianapolis Colts, respectively. Johnson became one of the NFL’s most productive wide receivers of his period throughout his career, playing in the Pro Bowl seven times and being named to four All-Pro teams. The Miami Sports Hall of Fame accepted Johnson on April 10, 2014.
