Andre Johnson (born July 11, 1981) is a retired American football player who spent 14 seasons as a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL), predominantly with the Houston Texans.

In the 2003 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Texans in the third round after playing college football for the Miami Hurricanes. In terms of career receptions and receiving yards in the NFL, he ranks 11th all-time. Most of the Texans’ receiving records are held by Johnson.

Additionally, he played for the Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts. Johnson established himself as one of the most effective wide receivers in the NFL of his era during his career, appearing in the Pro Bowl seven times and being selected to four All-Pro teams. On April 10, 2014, Johnson was honored with a membership in the Miami Sports Hall of Fame.

The parents of Andre Johnson were his mother, Karen Johnson, and his father, Leroy Richardson. Despite having a father named Leroy, he didn’t spend much time with him. Andre hardly ever saw him because his parents were divorced. In 2002, he briefly interacted with him. Leroy was later killed by gunfire in Mississippi.
