Andre Johnson, an American retired professional football player who spent 14 seasons as a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL), mostly with the Houston Texans, was born on July 11, 1981.

He represented the Miami Hurricanes in college football, and the Texans selected him third overall in the 2003 NFL Draft. In terms of receiving yards and career receptions in the NFL, he ranks 11th all-time. Johnson possesses almost all of the Texans’ receiving records.

He also played for the Tennessee Titans and the Indianapolis Colts. Throughout his career, Johnson was selected to four All-Pro teams, played in seven NFL Pro Bowls, and established himself as one of the league’s most productive wide receivers of his time. On April 10, 2014, Johnson was admitted into the Miami Sports Hall of Fame.
