Plaxico Burress Football Career

Plaxico Burress had a notable career in the NFL that lasted from 2000 to 2012.

Burress played college football for the Spartans at Michigan State University, where he was a wide receiver.

He was later selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers as eight overall, in the first round of the 2000 NFL Draft.

After five years with the Steelers, Burress joined the New York Giants and played a major role in their Super Bowl XLII win during the 2007 season, by catching the game-winning touchdown pass.

After a stint with the New York Jets in 2011, Burress returned to the Steelers for the 2012 season, but only played for one season before retirement.

Burress is remembered for accidentally shooting himself in the leg with a gun he was carrying in a nightclub. The incident had led to legal troubles and a suspension from the NFL at the time.

In 2017, he began his coaching career with the Arizona Cardinals.
