John van ‘t Schip, the Greek senior team’s head coach, called up Pavlidis to the squad on August 29, 2019, in preparation for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Finland and Liechtenstein. His ancestry is partially Romani.

Pavlidis agreed to a deal with Dutch club AZ Alkmaar on July 9, 2021, that would last until 2025. In 2019, Pavlidis transferred from Bochum to Willem II, where he made 82 appearances, scored 33 goals, and contributed 14 assists. He played his first game for the team on August 14 at the Mandemakers Stadion in Waalwijk, during an Eredivisie match between RKC Waalwijk and AZ Alkmaar.
