Nina Kennedy (born 5 April 1997) is an athlete with a specialty in pole vaulting. She competed in the Women’s Pole Vault competition and qualified for the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.

Using her greatest height of 4.4m as the basis, her qualifying ranking was 12. Kennedy was controversially disqualified from the pole vault qualifiers because officials didn’t stop the event when it started to rain.

She was forced to abandon her subsequent leap due to the slick, moist conditions as the rain increased in intensity and she was set to attempt her third attempt at 4.40m.

By clearing 4.43m, 4.50m, and then 4.59m in Perth in February 2015, Kennedy broke the previous world junior record. She was so qualified to take part in the 2015 World Championships in Beijing.

Nina Kennedy is 1.65 meters tall. Nina continued to have success at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, where she took home the bronze medal. She had her second-best performance ever when she cleared a height of 4.61 meters early in 2020. She continued to perform well, clearing 4.70 meters or higher in eight straight events.
