McCoy was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft.
McCoy signed a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals on March 30, 2021. In Week 9 with quarterback Kyler Murray ruled out, McCoy was named the starter against the San Francisco 49ers.
