Beauty brand Charlotte Tilbury was sold in 2020 to Barcelona-based fashion and fragrance company Puig for an estimated $1 billion.

The agreement however acknowledges Charlotte Tilbury as chairman, president and chief creative officer of the Tilbury brand, even though it owns a minor stake.

The beauty brand has won over 300 global awards including “the Walpole award for Emerging Luxury British Brand, the CEW Best British Brand of the Year (four years in a row), Best Health & Beauty eCommerce Website of the Year, Vogue Best Influencer Brand, IMAGE Most Innovative Beauty Brand and ranked #21 in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100.”

In 2020, Tilbury partnered with Spanish fashion and fragrance company Puig, who now sits as a major stakeholder in the business.
Tilbury works for Fashion Week in New York, Milan, Paris, and London, and top fashion brands like Prada, McQueen, Cavalli, Lanvin, and Chloe.
For her contributions to the beauty and cosmetics industry, Tilbury received an MBE Award in 2018.
She has also received many other prestigious awards including “the Rodial Award for Best Makeup Artist, and the CEW Achiever award.”
Since 2013, Tilbury has been featured in the Business of Fashion 500.
