John Michael Tolkin is an American professional soccer player who currently plays for the Major League Soccer club New York Red Bulls and the United States national team.

Tolkin made his professional debut on July 10, 2019, as a second-half replacement in a 4-3 victory over Bethlehem Steel. During the game, he recorded his first professional assist on Tom Barlow’s equalizer in the 82nd minute.
On November 18, 2022, Tolkin was selected as New York Red Bulls Defender of the Year for the 2022 season.
On August 20, 2023, Toklin scored his first goal of the season for New York, an 88th-minute free kick, to give his team a 1-0 triumph over rival DC United.
