A professional basketball player for MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg in the German Basketball Bundesliga, Thomas Ryan Walkup (born December 30, 1992) is an American. For Stephen F. Austin State University, he was a basketball player. For two seasons in a row (2015 and 2016), Walkup was named Southland Conference Player of the Year. He attended Deer Park High School in Deer Park, Texas before beginning to play college football. Pasadena, Texas, is the hometown of Walkup.

As the Lumberjacks’ sixth man during his rookie season, Walkup instantly stepped into a significant position. He scored 4.4 points and grabbed 3.6 rebounds in 18.5 minutes per game. Twice, on November 24, 2012, and January 5, 2013, he scored a career-high 11 points, both times against McNeese State.
