Amongst his social circle, Trejo is regarded as one of the nicest fellows anybody would want to have as a friend. To many, he’s nothing but a hero.

Danny Trejo Acting Career

Danny Trejo landed his first major role as a boxer in the film “Runaway Train” in 1985.

For several decades he has appeared in a wide variety of films, television series, and played voice roles for animations and video games.

Trejo has worked with notable directors like Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino.

In 1997, he portrayed Johnny Baca, one of the convicts on the hijacked airplane in the film Con Air.

In 2010, Trejo starred as the titular character in the action film, Machete. He also played the character of Uncle Machete, a tough and resourceful spy in the Spy Kids series.

Trejo additionally had a recurring role as Tortuga, a member of a Mexican drug cartel, in the second and third seasons of the TV series Breaking Bad

As a voice actor, Trejo has voiced many animated films and TV shows, such as “The Book of Life” and “Elena of Avalor.”
