Mota ended up making 198 appearances for Santos, scoring 17 goals.
In 2021, Mota was transferred to Inter Miami, after agreeing to a three-year contract. So far he has appeared in 33 matches, and scored two goals.
Mota has additionally played for the Brazilian club Fortaleza, where he made 17 appearances and scored four goals in one season.
