Having spent the majority of his lengthy career at The New York Times, Warren McClamroch Hoge (born April 13, 1941) is an American journalist.
The parents of Hoge are Virginia McClamroch and James F. Hoge, Sr. (1901–1972). James F. Hoge, Jr., his older brother, was a former editor of the Council on Foreign Relations periodical Foreign Affairs. He was born in 1935. Barbara Hoge Daine was a sister who passed away in 2001. She was the oldest Hoge sibling. Virginia Howe Hoge is the youngest child.

Hoge graduated from both Yale University and the Trinity School. A graduate program at George Washington University was also pursued by him. From 1965 until 1970, he was a member of the Army Reserve after serving in the American Army in 1964.
