Michael Bloomberg is an American politician and businessman. As of  April 2023, he has  an estimated net worth of US$94.5 billion and is  ranked as the seventh-richest person in the world by Forbes.

The great majority of his net worth is based on the estimated value of his privately held company Bloomberg LP. He owns 88% of the corporation.

Michael is also well-known as the former Mayor of New York City. He is one of the richest persons in the United States and the globe.

He published his final mayoral tax return/financial declaration in May 2013. According to the report, Boomberg owned 14 personal houses at the time and spent at least $500,000 per year on household staff salaries.

Michael’s primary apartment in New York City is a 5-story townhouse on East 79th Street that he purchased for $3.5 million in 1986.

Over the next several decades, Michael purchased five of the six apartments in an adjacent townhouse next door, therefore horizontally expanding his initial residence to become a monster mega-property.

Today, the combined mega-property is valued at least $50 million. Michael Bloomberg is a very generous philanthropist who is particularly interested in the environment, gun control, and education.

Among the major contributions are approximately $3 billion in multiple donations to Johns Hopkins University. In 2015, he donated $100 million to Cornell University. As of this writing, he has donated approximately $8 billion of his fortune.
