Morgan American artistic gymnast Elizabeth Hurd has competed for the women’s national team five times. She won the world all-around title and the silver medal on the balancing beam in 2017, and she also won the bronze medal and the silver medal on the floor exercise in 2018.

She was a part of the American teams that won gold medals at the Pan American Games and the World Championships in 2018 and 2019.

She started gymnastics at age 3. When Hurd was in the fifth grade, she began her training at First State Gymnastics.

On January 6, 2023, Hurd competed in her first collegiate match against West Virginia, Ball State, and Lindenwood University. Hurd competed in the balancing beam (9.775) and uneven bars (8.750).

Historically, gymnasts with eyesight issues have had to either wear contact lenses or perform without their glasses on, however for American gymnast Morgan Hurd, her eyesight was so poor that this was not an option.

Is Morgan Hurd adopted?

Born in Wuzhou, China, Hurd was adopted by her American mother, Sherri, before her first birthday. Always energetic, she was enrolled in gymnastics at the age of three and excelled immediately.
