American-born NFL quarterback Daniel Francis Fouts spent his whole 15-season career with the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League.

Fouts broke multiple records while playing college football for the Oregon Ducks, and he was later inducted into both the University of Oregon Hall of Fame and the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame.
When Fouts accepted a scholarship offer from the University of Oregon to play for the Ducks in Eugene, he was a bit of an unknown. During his first year there (1969), he made his debut with the freshman squad.
Fouts made his debut on the big screen in 1998, playing himself in Adam Sandler’s football comedy The Waterboy.
